Just been scrolling through some notable quotes on options activity and spotted some interesting volume spikes yesterday. TTD was absolutely crazy with over 276k contracts trading - that's like 146% of their normal daily volume. The $29 puts expiring in March had massive action with 14k contracts moving, which is pretty notable for a single strike. Makes you wonder what traders were positioning for. CIEN also caught my eye with solid options flow. Hit about 32.5k contracts which came in at 73% of their average daily volume. The $170 puts were the star of the show there with 5.5k contracts, so clearly some notable positioning happening at that level too. And then BKNG rounded out the interesting plays - quieter than the other two but still notable with nearly 5k contracts. The $4700 calls had decent action at 202 contracts. These kinds of notable quotes on options volume usually signal something - either hedging or someone making a directional bet. Worth keeping an eye on how these plays work out.
