Industry ETF Barometer | Chip-related ETFs see active trading, two semiconductor equipment ETFs rise over 8% in half a day
Ask AI · How does high-complexity process technology drive the growth in demand for semiconductor materials?
Daily Economic News Reporter: Liu Mingtao Daily Economic News Editor: Peng Shuiping
This morning, trading in chip-related ETFs was extremely active, with the CSI Innovation Chip ETF Jiashi (588200) reaching a half-day transaction volume of 3.8B yuan, and the Semiconductor ETF Guolian An (512480) and Semiconductor Equipment ETF Guotai (159516) both exceeding 1.5 billion yuan in half-day trading volume; in cross-border ETFs, the China-Korea Semiconductor ETF Huatai Bairui (513310) surged with reduced volume, with a half-day transaction volume of 4.43B yuan.
Regarding ETF gains, driven by storage chips, the chip industry chain-related ETFs surged across the board again, with two semiconductor equipment ETFs increasing by over 8% in half a day, and dozens of chip-related ETFs also rising by over 5% in half a day.
From an investment logic perspective, in high-complexity processes such as HBM and 3D NAND, some important material categories do not simply follow the increase in wafer quantities, but show a combined inflation of per-chip usage, increased variety categories, or rising prices. Therefore, during industry prosperity phases, some segments of the industry chain exhibit stronger growth elasticity and more certain performance realization.
Commentary: The Semiconductor Equipment ETF Wanjia (159327) and Semiconductor Equipment ETF Guotai (159516) both rose by 8.17% and 8.07% respectively this morning. Among them, the Semiconductor Equipment ETF Guotai (159516) has a larger scale, with a share of 21.03B units, and a half-day transaction volume of 1.57B yuan. These two ETFs track the CSI Semiconductor Materials and Equipment Theme Index, which also includes ETFs such as GF Semiconductor Equipment ETF (560780).
The CSI Semiconductor Materials and Equipment Theme Index selects 40 listed companies involved in semiconductor materials and equipment sectors as index samples, reflecting the overall performance of listed companies in semiconductor materials and equipment.
