Gate Pay Launches Institutional Account, Supporting One-stop Management for Multi-level Account Payments

Gate Pay has officially launched its Institutional Account feature. Designed for merchants and institutional users, the new feature is built on a virtual account (VA) structure, providing a unified multi-level account management tool. The solution allows institutions to onboard multiple clients, process transactions, and perform related financial operations within Gate Pay without the need to develop complex internal accounting systems. This approach significantly reduces operational and technical costs in complex business environments.

Through Gate Pay Institutional Accounts, institutions can, with client authorization, onboard their downstream customers into Gate Pay for management within a centralized account structure. Relying on a unified account framework, institutions can operate an institutional account as the primary management entity and create multiple independent sub-accounts by business line, client, or application scenario. All sub-accounts remain clearly attributed and isolated, while institutions can use APIs for account creation and permission management, enabling flexible management and control across multi-entity operations.

In terms of transactions and settlements, sub-accounts can act directly as payee accounts for order creation, allowing end users to make payments to designated sub-accounts. Institutions can also support asset conversion and instant swaps, payments, settlements, and withdrawals, as well as refunds at the sub-account level, covering core scenarios across payment acceptance, settlement, and fund distribution. Meanwhile, Gate Pay supports automated fund processing between institutional accounts and sub-accounts, including platform commissions, service fee deductions, periodic settlements, and fund consolidation. Internal transfers and revenue splitting between sub-accounts are also supported, helping institutions build an efficient internal fund-handling network.

With a unified management entry, institutional primary accounts can centrally view and manage sub-account balances, transaction records, order lists, and order statuses, enabling group-level monitoring and operational management. Combined with a comprehensive authorization and permission framework, institutions can flexibly assign roles and responsibilities, centralize transaction and settlement processing, and maintain consistent risk control and compliance standards while improving internal collaboration efficiency.

The launch of Gate Pay Institutional Account aims to provide merchants and institutions with a clearer and more controllable multi-account management tool, supporting stable operations and efficient settlements within complex business structures. Looking ahead, Gate Pay will continue to enhance the capabilities of Institutional Accounts, in line with merchant needs and regulatory requirements, expanding configurable features in account and transaction management, to support the long-term development of scalable businesses.
