⭐️Key Information
- The decentralized AI project @NousResearch, which has raised over $55 million, officially launched the testnet Psyche—a decentralized training network—and initiated a pre-training of a 40 billion parameter scale LLM. Nous’s DisTrO optimizer has broken bandwidth limitations, making peer-to-peer decentralized AI training possible. At the same time, Psyche utilizes part of Solana’s decentralized core infrastructure to store proofs of node operations in the network. Currently, participation is limited to applying to become a training node.
Comment: Decentralized model training is the technical key and bottleneck for achieving the democratization of AI, and Nous Research is tackling this challenge.
