Dough Finance was attacked by a Hacker, resulting in a loss of $2.5 million, and the founder has been accused of fraud.

Gate News bot message, Reuters reported that the Dough Finance platform was attacked by a Hacker in July 2024, resulting in user asset losses of approximately $2.5 million. Co-founders Chase Herro and Zak Folkman, after promising to compensate users for their losses, turned to establish a new project called World Liberty Financial, which generated $65 million in revenue.

Dough user Jonathan Lopez has filed a lawsuit against Chase Herro, accusing him of fraud and breach of fiduciary duty, seeking damages. Currently, the Dough website has ceased operations, the platform has only recovered $281,000 in funds, and has issued tokens of no actual value to users as compensation.
