On June 3rd, the Sonic Labs platform announced it will launch its first airdrop in June 2025, with a total of 190.5 million S tokens distributed to the community of users, developers, and those who have participated in events related to the Opera browser, Sonic Arcade, or minting NFT Shard.
Eligible users can receive 25% of the allocated token amount immediately, while the remaining (75%) will be locked as NFT and unlocked linearly over a period of 270 days. Sonic allows users to withdraw the locked tokens early, but they must accept to burn a portion of the tokens at a gradually decreasing rate over time.
In addition, those who do not want to participate can trade the right to receive tokens through the NFT marketplace. Sonic collaborates with OpenBlock and Sentio to monitor data and the scoring process, ensuring transparency and efficiency for the program.
