Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives plan to stay out of town during the federal government "shutdown".

Jin10 reported that on October 4 local time, it was learned that Republican members of the U.S. House of Representatives held a conference call that day. The Republican leadership informed lawmakers during the meeting that they plan not to return to Washington during the federal government “shutdown.” Currently, the U.S. government is in a “shutdown” due to a budget impasse, with both the Democratic and Republican parties blaming each other for the funding bill responsibilities.
