Cloudflare, the infrastructure provider powering large portions of the internet, experienced a significant disruption that briefly removed access to the front end of numerous cryptocurrency websites and impacted communication through major social platforms.
Cloudflare Implements Fix and Begins Monitoring
In a Tuesday update to its system status, the company reported that an “internal service degradation” began at 11:48 am UTC. Cloudflare later announced that it had deployed a fix and believed the issue had been resolved, adding that its team would continue monitoring to ensure all services fully returned to normal.
Major Crypto and Web2 Platforms Impacted
The outage affected users attempting to access platforms such as X, Truth Social, Coinbase, Blockchain.com, Ledger, BitMEX, Toncoin, Arbiscan and DefiLlama. Several sites, including Kraken, noted earlier than others that a fix had taken effect and functionality was returning.
Some Platforms Remain Unaffected
Despite widespread disruption, certain platforms — including BlueSky and Reddit — appeared to remain untouched by the outage.
