Binance has begun implementing a process to reclaim Alpha airdrop rewards that the exchange believes were received through abusive arbitrage behavior. During this process, the platform has frozen certain user accounts for investigation purposes. One notable case shows 14,457 USDT being frozen and the user being debited 10,525.77 USDT, indicating that Binance is reversing rewards deemed to have been obtained improperly.

According to screenshots circulating in the community, Binance stated that the affected accounts “received the airdrop in violation of regulations by breaching the requirements of the Alpha platform.” This situation has caused many traders to worry about the criteria for identifying violations and the scope of the clawback policy. Amid increasing debate, Binance co-founder He Yi affirmed that these measures only apply to abusive accounts, emphasizing that “regular users will not be affected.”
