Vitalik: If X is a free speech platform, it should provide ZK proofs for algorithmic decisions and delay the public release of the code

Foresight News reports that Ethereum Foundation AI lead Davide Crapis tweeted, “If X claims to be a free speech platform, it should disclose its algorithm optimization goals and ensure they are understandable and adjustable by users.” Vitalik Buterin commented, “I advocate for an even further step: providing zero-knowledge proofs for each decision in the algorithm (ideally, timestamping content and like/share records on the blockchain to prevent server tampering or censorship), and committing to releasing the full algorithm code after a delay of 1-2 years.”
