Tether, the issuer of the USDT stablecoin, has registered a trademark for the asset tokenization platform Hadron in Russia, according to data from the Rospatent electronic database. The application was filed in October 2025 and approved in January 2026, with exclusive rights valid until October 3, 2035.
According to the description, this trademark can be used for various blockchain-based financial services in Russia, including providing financial information in the crypto sector, crypto financial consulting, trading, remittances, crypto exchanges, and crypto payment processing on the blockchain.
Tether currently issues multiple stablecoins pegged to real assets such as USD, EUR, and gold. USDT is the largest stablecoin in the market, with a capitalization of approximately $187 billion as of January 2026. The Hadron platform was announced by Tether in November 2024, enabling the tokenization of diverse assets, from stocks and bonds to reward points.
