Trust Wallet Introduces Dust Cleaner to Unlock Hidden Wallet Value

Trust Wallet has announced the launch of Dust Cleaner, a new wallet-native feature designed to help users reclaim value from small, unused token balances commonly known as dust. The feature targets a familiar issue for long-time crypto users, as dust tends to accumulate over time through partial swaps, airdrops, and experimentation across multiple networks. While individual balances are often negligible, collectively they can clutter wallets, lock up usable value, and even pose security risks when unfamiliar tokens go unnoticed.

Unlike many wallets that simply hide dust or push users toward manual swaps and external exchanges, Dust Cleaner takes a more deliberate approach. The tool only allows dust to be cleaned when the transaction is economically justified. Each action is evaluated against real-time gas fees and token prices, ensuring users never approve a transaction that costs more than it returns. Trust Wallet emphasizes that there are no forced swaps, hidden fees, or opaque processes, and that users retain full control at every step.

How Dust Cleaner Works Across Networks

Dust Cleaner scans supported networks for small token balances and evaluates whether cleaning them makes financial sense. If a proposed transaction would result in a net loss after fees, it is automatically blocked. When a transaction is viable, users are shown the exact outcome before confirming, reinforcing transparency and informed decision-making.

On EVM-compatible networks, eligible dust tokens are grouped together and processed in a single action per network. This batching reduces gas costs and removes the need for multiple individual swaps. On Solana, where SPL token burning is natively supported, Dust Cleaner issues a single instruction to burn selected dust tokens, removing them from the wallet while also freeing up associated account rent. Across all supported networks, nothing happens automatically, as users choose which networks and tokens to include, set their own thresholds, and approve every action manually.

Availability and Early Access Details

During its initial launch period, Dust Cleaner is available exclusively to Trust Wallet Premium users for the first month. This early access phase is intended to give power users and early adopters access to the latest tools before the feature rolls out more broadly. After this period, Dust Cleaner will become available to all Trust Wallet users, aligning with the company’s broader accessibility goals.

Trust Wallet positions Dust Cleaner as part of a longer-term effort to make self-custody safer, cleaner, and more intuitive. By helping users recover real value, reduce wallet clutter, and mitigate dusting-related risks, the company aims to turn a common onchain annoyance into a practical and genuinely useful feature. More tools focused on improving security and usability are expected to follow as Trust Wallet continues to expand its Web3 ecosystem.
