Three accounts on a certain prediction market platform simultaneously wagered $60,000 on "The United States will not invade Cuba in 2026"

Gate News reports that on March 16, three accounts on a prediction market platform collectively wagered $60,000 on the event “The United States will not invade Cuba in 2026,” with opening prices at 78¢. In early 2026, the U.S. intensified energy and economic sanctions against Cuba, imposing tariffs and sanctions to restrict oil shipments, leading to severe fuel shortages and nationwide power outages in Cuba. Meanwhile, protests within Cuba increased, and both the U.S. and Cuba engaged in secret contacts and negotiations to ease tensions, but overall relations remain highly strained.
