Odaily Planet Daily News StarkWare CEO Eli Ben Sasson said he expects OPCAT (a major upgrade to the BTC network) to go live in the next 12 months. During an interview at Devcon 2024 in Thailand, Ben-Sasson stated that the launch of OPCAT will bring a series of new features to Bitcoin, including “covenants, ZK-rollup, and L2 network”. It is worth noting that the launch of OPCAT will make Starknet the first L2 network to perform local Settlement on BTC and ETH chains. (Cointelegraph)
