The McDonald's E. coli contamination incident in the United States has caused over a hundred people to fall ill.

On November 14, Jin10 data reported that a hamburger sold in some McDonald’s (MCD.N) stores in the United States was contaminated by E. coli. So far, it has caused 104 infections in 14 states, with at least 34 hospitalizations and 1 death. The report shows that the onion slices in the implicated burger may be the source of infection, and the batch of onions has been recalled. The report also states that the actual number of infections and the scope of the E. coli contamination event may be much larger than the reported data.
