According to official sources, the FIL Fast Finality (F3) team is now conducting final stage readiness tests on the Mainnet. By shortening the termination time from about 900 Block Heights to only about 2, F3 brings advantages such as faster transaction confirmation, enhanced cross-chain interaction experience, more efficient lightweight user-side and streamlined storage provider data storage processes. In the next 2-4 weeks, the team will continue to collect data on the rationality of F3 implementation through passive testing. If there are no critical issues in the final stage testing, the F3 release process may follow the following timeline: early December 2024- release nv25 upgrade and deploy F3 final code (F3 is already activated and running); mid-December 2024- User-side release Mainnet nv25/F3 activated Block Height set; January 2025- Mainnet nv25/F3 activated.
