Governor of the National Bank of Rwanda: Rwanda is ready to implement regulations on the use and trading of Cryptocurrency

CoinVoice

CoinVoice has learned that John Rwangomba, Governor of the National Bank of Rwanda (NBR), has stated that Rwanda is preparing to implement regulations regarding the use and trading of cryptocurrencies. Rwangomba expects the regulations to be established in the first quarter of 2025, subject to an agreement between NBR and the Capital Market Authority (CMA) on the protocol.

Although Rwangomba’s response did not explicitly support Crypto Assets, this marks a shift in NBR’s public statement. [Original Link]
