On January 6, Jinshi Data reported that Italian Prime Minister Meloni stated on social media on January 5th that she had met with the US President-elect Trump at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on the evening of the 4th and had “a pleasant evening”, and she said she was ready to work with Trump. The trip was not announced in advance. Meloni also plans to meet with President Biden when he visits Rome next week.
