Deep Tide TechFlow news, the Swiss non-profit organization FLock Foundation in the field of Decentralization Artificial Intelligence (AI) announced the opening of a new chapter in AI development through Edge Computing and Federated Learning technologies. FLock extends model training that traditionally relies on public data to private domain data, enhancing the adaptability of AI models in specific fields such as healthcare and finance, while protecting user data privacy.
By sinking the training tasks to user devices (such as mobile phones and laptops), FLock utilizes the idle computing power of edge devices to achieve distributed training, significantly reducing training latency and quickly adapting to dynamic environments. Users can also receive rewards through data contribution while protecting data privacy.
In addition, the FLock Foundation announced support for the collaboration of two top AI scholars:
Professor Zhang Zhao: Assistant Professor at Rutgers University, a globally renowned expert in large-scale machine learning, who has participated in the open-source protein structure prediction model OpenFold.
Professor You Yang: a young professor at the National University of Singapore who has broken the world records for training speed in ImageNet and BERT. His optimizers LARS and LAMB have become industry standards.
Two scholars will help FLock expand the Decentralization learning framework, promoting the democratization and innovation of AI.
The FLock Foundation has now opened applications for the FL Alliance Private Beta. Users and organizations interested in Decentralization Artificial Intelligence are welcome to participate and jointly promote the innovation of AI technology.
