Many people experience an awakening in middle age, beginning to truly love themselves and live for themselves. When life reaches middle age, they gradually realize that they should be the core of their own life. Before middle age, many people's lives are more driven by external factors—family expectations, social evaluations, and the idea of what kind of person they should become. These choices are not necessarily made from the heart but follow the environment and mainstream trends, gradually leading to where they are now. After experiencing enough social realities and understanding the relationships between people, they often reach middle age. At this point, they truly understand: there may be many people who love you in this world, but basically, no one loves you more than you love yourself. You are here, and so is the world. Therefore, middle age is actually a watershed for many people, a dividing line that determines "how to live next." You will find that many middle-aged people no longer risk their lives for their careers, instead prioritizing health, learning to please themselves, enjoying life and the world, and becoming more willing to live for themselves. From this perspective, the awakening in middle age is actually a good thing.
