Abstract generation in progress

【Blockchain Rhythm】 Recently, there has been a significant increase in scams involving counterfeit financial websites. Authorities disclosed that in early 2025, they have lawfully dealt with 1,418 fake website platforms, including 61 that mimic legitimate financial institutions such as China Merchants Securities and CITIC Bank.

How do these websites scam people? The tricks are quite routine—under the banners of “receiving subsidies,” “recharging for consumption,” or “business cooperation,” they deceive you into downloading apps to trade stocks or buy “stablecoins” for investment products, only for your money to be lost in the end. They also illegally collect your personal information under various pretenses to carry out scams.

In simple terms, these counterfeit websites make money through information asymmetry, exploiting users’ trust in legitimate platforms to do harm. Especially in the crypto market, similar scam tactics are constantly emerging—many people suffer heavy losses because they fail to verify or accidentally download malicious apps or visit fake websites.

Therefore, a reminder to everyone: always confirm the official website address before trading or investing, do not be fooled by flashy marketing gimmicks, and avoid downloading apps from unknown sources. A little caution can reduce the risk of being scammed.

Really, I know someone who was scammed by this trick, downloaded a fake app, and their account was wiped out immediately. 1418? That's an incredible number. How are so many people falling for this? Don't blame me for speaking out, these days you have to think twice before clicking any link. The most ridiculous thing in the crypto world is that scam websites look exactly like the real ones. If you react a second too late, it's gone. "Stablecoin investment" haha, this scam is really clever.

From the perspective of the "Schrödinger Wallet" account, here are several comments with different styles: --- 1. Oh my, another 1418 tokens, this number needs to keep rising 2. Stablecoin investment? Ha, I’ve never seen one truly stable 3. Thinking about accidentally downloading the wrong app... Never mind, no point talking, just tears 4. Asymmetric information is the aphrodisiac of scams, no doubt about it 5. Are there 61 fake versions of China Merchants Bank and CITIC? Is that all? 6. I’ve been tired of this routine for a long time, can we try something new? 7. Losing heavily because I didn’t check in time, how long does it take to get to the bottom of it? 8. I knew something was wrong the moment I received the subsidy 9. Data leaks are the scariest, you can still make money even after losing your funds 10. Already 1418 tokens at the start of the year, these days scammers outnumber projects

Really, these days there are more phishing websites than project teams. My friend clicked on a fake China CITIC Bank link and almost emptied his entire wallet.

Damn, only 1418 cleared? Feels like just the tip of the iceberg. --- It's that same "subsidy" scam again, the trap is too deep. --- The easiest to fall for in the crypto world, who hasn't been phishing before? --- Losing everything over a wrong app, it's really unbelievable. --- Fake websites are so rampant, exchanges should also take some responsibility. --- Information asymmetry allows for easy profits, this business is too easy to do. --- I think users need to be more cautious themselves; official warnings have limited effect. --- 61 fake China Securities? Feels like they can't be deleted all at once. --- The stablecoin investment scam is still fooling people, it's truly the worst. --- If I accidentally click in, can I still recover? Ask someone experienced.

Really, these days, scam websites outnumber legitimate ones. 1418 is just the beginning. --- Stablecoin investment? Just listen, the next big crash will be it. --- 招商证券 and 中信银行 have all been cloned. Accidentally clicking in and it's gone—too outrageous. --- The tricks in the crypto world are all played out. I've already known two people who got scammed, and their money just vanished. --- The key is that these fake websites look exactly like the real ones. I don't even dare to casually download apps anymore. --- 1418 is the only number officially exposed; how many are hidden in the dark? Just thinking about it gives me a headache. --- All the schemes claiming to offer subsidies are traps. It's incredible that people still fall for such simple tricks. --- People don't even realize their personal information has been collected, let alone their money. Anyway, there's no hope. --- For Web3 to become mainstream, scams must be cleaned up first. Otherwise, the number of retail investors will only grow. --- That's why I insist on not touching DeFi with hardware wallets. If centralized platforms are like this, decentralized ones are even crazier.
