Everyone in the circle understands that oracles are extremely low-profile—no one cares when they work normally. But once they feed the wrong prices, liquidation and margin calls immediately follow, and within minutes, you could be forced to surrender. You can ignore them, but if you’re playing DeFi or doing contract trading, you simply can’t avoid them—this is the most "dangerous" invisible infrastructure in the crypto world.

APRO targets this pain point. It’s not concerned with who feeds prices faster; instead, it focuses on the core question: are these data reliable? This approach hits the nail on the head. Honestly, it has potential, but the pitfalls are also clear.

APRO’s strategy is multi-source data aggregation + AI verification, transforming messy data like images and documents into on-chain usable conclusions. This is indeed more advanced than simply feeding prices. The problem is—AI isn’t a deity; it can misjudge and have biases. If the entire judgment process isn’t auditable, in plain terms, it’s just replacing "trust in data sources" with "trust in a black-box model," with no fundamental difference.

Decentralization also requires caution. Many projects boast dazzling whitepapers, but when it comes to actual upgrades or system pauses, control keys are still held by a few people. APRO’s staking + sub-DAO framework looks promising, but decentralization is a real outcome, not just a slogan. If power isn’t truly distributed, how can big institutions dare to heavily integrate?

APRO’s real killer feature isn’t price feeding but its ability to understand complex information—such as interpreting RWA audit reports or predicting market events. That’s where its differentiated competitive edge lies. But risks are also present: who’s responsible if AI makes mistakes? Early governance power is overly centralized, and some projects integrate it just for PPT presentations, not because it’s a real necessity.

Ultimately, APRO isn’t an air coin, but whether it can succeed depends on how it develops moving forward.

The black box model, at the end of the day, still relies on trusting people. It's no different from the current oracles.

The black-box model, to put it simply, is just a different flavor of the same old thing. Why trust it at all?

Black-box AI changing the soup but not the medicine, this is the biggest pitfall... Power still resides with just a few people, decentralization is just a joke.

Black box models really need to be guarded against; changing the disguise still results in information asymmetry.
