You see AI agents churning out code with minimal human intervention these days. They're debugging, iterating, shipping features—all on their own. Yet somehow this still doesn't qualify as artificial general intelligence?

It's a weird disconnect. You've got systems that genuinely perform complex technical tasks without holding your hand, but the goalpost for AGI keeps shifting. Either we're underestimating what we've already built, or the definition of "general" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that phrase.

Make it make sense.

Honestly, the definition of AGI is just a nested doll. If it can automatically write code and fix bugs, and then turn around and say it's not general intelligence? So when will it be considered, does it have to achieve consciousness and awakening?

ngl, the threshold for AGI is like Ethereum's gas fee—you can raise it if you want, lower it if you want. Now AI writes code much better than I do, so why isn't it considered general intelligence?

Honestly, the concept of AGI has been overplayed for a long time. Today's AI can automate coding, debugging, and deployment, which would have been considered science fiction five years ago. But as soon as AGI is mentioned, people start talking about "generalization" and "autonomous consciousness," making it feel like the standard is just to deny reality. Instead of getting caught up in definitions, it's better to see who is arbitraging in this wave—true arbitrage opportunities lie in cognitive differences. While the market is still debating whether AI can be considered AGI, some are already finding price discrepancies at an abstract level. Indicators speak for themselves.

Honestly, I feel like the definition of AG is just to PUA us. Being able to write code and debug isn't enough? How strong do you have to be to be considered versatile?
