Visa has announced that it has become a super validator node on Canton Network.

Deep Tide TechFlow News, March 26 — According to The Block, Visa announced it has been selected as a Super Validator node on the Canton Network. This is also Visa’s first submission and approval of a blockchain governance proposal.

Visa’s application was submitted on March 20 and approved on March 23, receiving the highest Super Validator weight of 10. Visa stated that it will use this as a basis to assist institutions in integrating Canton into real-world business scenarios such as payments, settlements, and treasury management, and plans to leverage Canton’s payment layer to expand its stablecoin business.

The Canton Network currently has 42 Super Validator nodes, a total of 849 validation nodes, and daily transaction fees of approximately $2.3 million. Participating organizations include BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs, DTCC, Nasdaq, Circle, Paxos, and others.
