Italian media: Western media's portrayal of Iran-U.S. negotiations atmosphere is "misleading"
Deep Tide TechFlow News, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported on the 12th that, due to the United States’ failure to achieve its goals in the negotiations, some Western media have begun to spread “misleading descriptions” of the atmosphere of the Iran-U.S. Islamabad talks.
The report said that only the Iran-U.S. negotiation team and Pakistani officials were inside the Serena Hotel, and no media were allowed to enter. Therefore, messages about “intense conflicts in the conference room” and “members of both sides shaking hands” are entirely media hype by the U.S. to cover up its “continuous failures and weak position” in the negotiations.
According to previous reports by Iranian media citing informed sources, due to the U.S. “sky-high demands,” there has been no substantive progress since the Iran-U.S.-Islamabad negotiations began. Some Western media, aiming to influence international energy prices, are exaggerating the “positive atmosphere” of the negotiations.
Although there has been progress in expert-level negotiations, both sides still have serious disagreements on multiple issues, including the Strait of Hormuz. (Xinhua News Agency)
