Recently, I started researching how much a commander in the Mexican army actually earns, and I was quite surprised. It turns out that many military ranks exceed one million pesos annually, something not many people know.
To get into this, you need to study in the Military Education System, whether at the Heroic Military College or specialized schools. Enlisted soldiers earn around 18,840 pesos per month, but as you move up in rank, the situation changes quite a bit.
Looking at the 2026 salary table, the numbers are interesting. A Second Lieutenant earns approximately 25,977 pesos a month, a Fi

It's already passed, but it's still worth knowing what day Easter falls on each year. In 2026, it was April 5th, and you probably wondered why it doesn't always fall on the same date. The thing is, it's not a religious whim, but rather it has to do with quite complex astronomical calculations that date back to the year 325 AD.
The rule is this: the date of Easter depends on the Paschal Full Moon, which is the first full moon after the spring equinox (March 21). Easter is always the first Sunday after that full moon. That's why the Gregorian calendar states it can fall between March 22 and Apri

I have been closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East, and there are some quite concerning military movements that deserve attention. Israel has significantly intensified its operations in southern Lebanon, attacking what it describes as Hezbollah weapons depots. According to statements from the Israel Defense Forces, these warehouses violated understanding agreements between the two countries and contained infrastructure to rebuild offensive capabilities.
What makes the overall context more complicated is the broader situation. Although a ceasefire was signed in November 2024, Israe

I just realized that I have been using heart emojis on WhatsApp completely wrong all this time 😅 It turns out that each color has a different meaning, and it's not just "I love you" and that's it. For example, red is for intense romantic love, but yellow is for friends, blue for loyalty and trust... see? I was sending red hearts to my friends when I should have been using yellow or blue.
The most interesting thing is that there are versions I didn't even know existed. The fire heart represents very strong passion or enthusiasm, the beating one shows accelerated emotion, and the one with an ar

Hey, I just saw that they released Gendarme Gallo after almost 448 days detained in Venezuela. Unbelievable that it took so long. Apparently Tapia and the AFA pulled some strings with the Venezuelan Football Federation and Conmebol to get him out of there. The guy is already on the plane back to Argentina.
The weirdest part is that Toviggino, the AFA treasurer, posted a photo of the idiot drinking mate on the private plane. Tapia then came out saying it was a quiet operation and that football can be a bridge for cooperation and all that. The Foreign Ministry also confirmed he's already out of

I just watched an interesting interview where Trump harshly criticizes Japan, South Korea, and NATO for not contributing enough on defense issues. What caught my attention most was his analysis of Japan: he mentions that the country gets 93% of its oil from the Middle East and that both nations depend on that region for nearly 45% of their employment. However, when they ask these allies for help, he says they do not respond.
The argument is quite straightforward: the United States maintains 45,000 troops in Japan and 50,000 in South Korea to protect them, but when it requests support, it recei

I just saw how the markets react strongly to geopolitical tensions. On April 2nd, while Trump was making statements about a possible confrontation with Iran, the U.S. stock indices moved downward. The S&P 500 futures fell 0.5%, reflecting some concern among investors.
But the most interesting thing is in oil. WTI broke through $103 per barrel, rising 4.07% for the day. Brent also moved significantly, gaining $4 and closing at $102.86, with a 4.06% increase. It’s quite clear that stock markets are reacting to nervousness about energy supply.
Trump was quite direct in his comments. He mentioned

I just reviewed the latest fuel price data in the U.S., and honestly, what's happening is concerning. Gasoline prices recently hit record highs, even surpassing what we saw during the Russia-Ukraine crisis in 2022. We're talking about an average of $4.12 per gallon nationwide. But what really catches my attention is diesel, which reached $5.65 per gallon, over 60 cents above the previous record.
The interesting part is that this isn't just a temporary spike. Energy Secretary Chris Wright mentioned that these prices could stay high for the next few weeks. EIA projections suggest that even if th

I just saw that 21Shares updated the file for their Hyperliquid (THYP) crypto ETF. It seems they did so after receiving feedback from the SEC, although they still haven't revealed anything about the fees.
James Seyffart from Bloomberg had already reported it. The truth is, we're seeing more and more movements in this type of cryptocurrency ETF, so I guess we're on the right track for it to be approved.
Does anyone know if this means it could be approved soon? The document update sounds like a good sign, but you never know with the SEC.

I just came across a piece of news about European port operations that’s worth paying attention to. The Port of Antwerp in Belgium recently experienced a serious disruption due to an oil spill, which could potentially impact the global supply chain.
According to reports, on the evening of April 9th, an oil spill occurred during fueling operations at the Delwaerde terminal in the Port of Antwerp. Although the source of pollution has now been contained and the involved vessel has begun cleanup efforts, the problem is that multiple navigation channels and locks within the port are currently compl

I just read something interesting about what's happening in the UK with regulation. The FCA has just released a new public consultation seeking feedback on how to regulate crypto assets in the local market. Basically, they are defining how they will oversee everything related to stablecoins, exchanges, custody, and staking.
The thing is, this comes after they implemented the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 for crypto assets in February, so they are in the process of building the regulatory framework. They have until June 3rd to receive comments from anyone interested, and then starting

I just saw that Schwab has officially launched its cryptocurrency trading service. Basically, they will allow regular clients to buy and sell Bitcoin and Ethereum directly from their usual platform, without needing to go somewhere else.
The interesting part is that they will be gradually enabling it over the next few weeks, so probably not everyone will have access at the same time. But the idea is for everything to be integrated, meaning that cryptocurrency trading will be displayed alongside your regular portfolio, research, and everything else you already have in Schwab.
They also say they

Not long ago, Jensen Huang, the CEO of Nvidia, shared something quite interesting on a podcast. The company is not looking to put everything on a few winners in the technology sector, but instead prefers to diversify its investments widely. And there is a clear reason behind this: Jensen Huang explained that it is not Nvidia’s responsibility to pick the winners, and also that the story of the company itself proves this perfectly.
When Nvidia was founded, there were 60 companies competing in the 3D graphics space. If someone had tried to predict which one would succeed back then, Nvidia probabl

I just saw that SOON had a crazy move recently... it went up about 57% in 24 hours without anything special happening. Trading volume skyrocketed, but there were no clear news. Now it's at $0.17 after touching $0.19. People in the community say it's smart money accumulating, but I don't know if I believe them. The risk is that it could drop back to $0.102. Has anyone else noticed this? It seems like something strange happened in the last 24 hours, although the movement has now calmed down. Be careful with FOMO.

It just came out in the news that Yuga Labs and those artists finally reached an agreement after two years of fighting over the RR/BAYC issue. Basically, Ripps and Cahen released an NFT collection using Bored Ape images, and it all turned into a legal mess. At first, a judge awarded Yuga almost $9 million, but then the appeals court said, “not so fast,” and sent a jury to determine whether there was actually deception.
In the end, they avoided the trial and reached a settlement. Now Ripps and Cahen can’t use Yuga’s brand, so basically the discussion is over. It’s interesting how these NFT case

I just noticed something that probably many in the markets are still not fully processing. Earlier this week, the EU Commissioner for Economy issued a pretty serious warning about the stagflation risks facing Europe, and honestly, the current geopolitical context makes this concern more relevant than ever.
The interesting part is that it’s not just speculation. Dombrovskis was quite specific with his numbers. If supply disruptions occur in the short term, economic growth could fall by 0.2 to 0.4 percentage points below what was projected months ago, while inflation would rise by about 1 percen

I just saw that Michael Saylor and his team at MicroStrategy took out 17,585 bitcoins in profits just in the first two weeks of this year. I mean, we're talking about approximately $1.3 billion. No joke.
Michael Saylor continues to bet heavily on Bitcoin. The company's strategy seems to be working quite well, considering the price movement over these months. At the beginning of the year, when they took out those profits, the price was around $73-74k, and now we're close to $76k.
I don't know about you, but every time I see Michael Saylor making these moves with Bitcoin, I wonder if I should be

I have just been closely following the strategy Meta is building in artificial intelligence, and honestly, something interesting is happening behind the scenes. Apparently, Alexandr Wang, who runs Meta's superintelligence lab, is leading the development of a completely new AI model that could change the game in this sector.
What catches my attention is the approach: while OpenAI and Anthropic are pursuing enterprise contracts and government partnerships, Meta is targeting the mass consumer directly. This makes sense considering Meta has billions of active monthly users. The new model probably

I just found out that XChat, the app Musk has been trying to launch for almost four years, is finally coming out on April 17th. Basically, it's his obsession with creating the Western version of WeChat, and after nearly a year of internal testing, it seems to be ready. The interesting part is that it directly targets what people are asking for: end-to-end encryption, no ads, no tracking. None of that. Since Elon bought Twitter in 2022 and started this idea, four years have passed. Four years. And now, in less than a week, it should be available on the App Store. I don't know if it will really

Jajaja, Bill Clinton starts joking about his age and Trump’s during an Oklahoma City anniversary speech. Two older former presidents throwing jokes back and forth about who’s older—honestly, it’s pretty funny to see that. Bill Clinton, with all his years of experience in politics, still has that sense of humor.
But anyway, speaking of the TRUMP token, things are getting interesting. It went from ATH of $78 a being at $2.89 now, so there’s a long road ahead if it wants to recover. Some say it could come back to new highs this year, but honestly, I don’t know if it’ll reach that high. The token
