Wu Shuo has learned that the Optimism Foundation has released an announcement proposing to use 50% of Superchain revenue to repurchase OP tokens, aiming to deeply bind OP tokens with the success of the Superchain. The announcement states that if the proposal passes in the vote on January 22, the repurchase plan will launch in February, and the repurchased tokens will flow back to the treasury for future use in burning or as staking rewards. The foundation revealed that over the past 12 months, Optimism has collected 5868 ETH in revenue, all of which has been allocated to the governance treasury.
