#Gate13周年全球庆典

First Encounter: The "BitChild" Amusement Park

Many people don't know that Gate once had a more down-to-earth name — "BitChild". When I first entered the circle in 2015, it was like a "amusement park" for digital currencies. While other major exchanges were fixated on mainstream coins, what attracted me most to Gate was the dizzying array of "altcoins".

The most memorable trading moments back then weren't about how much money I made, but that thrilling sense of exploring the unknown. The first time I bought Doge here, the first time I tried Litecoin without really understanding it — looking back now, my operations were very "rookie", but that joy of "fingers faster than brains" was real. Back then, it was like a welcoming gateway that opened the door to a new world for me.

Growth: The 3 AM Epiphany and the Evolution of the "Liquidation King"

Of course, 13 years couldn't have been all smooth sailing — mostly storms instead.

The most unforgettable night was probably some 3 AM after 2017. BTC suddenly surged and my mind was filled with FOMO (fear of missing out). I executed a flurry of trades, and when I checked my gains: +0.3%. In that moment, staring at the screen, I suddenly laughed — it turns out the real culprit behind losses isn't the market, it's emotions.

I once nearly got completely liquidated. That night I realized I wasn't investing, I was gambling. From then on, I stopped chasing "sudden wealth" and learned position management, learned to use strategy tools on Gate. As an old-timer once said in the forum, I evolved from a "newbie village weakling" to an "old-hand BOSS", from an "emotional trader" to a "calm working person".

Gate witnessed my transformation and the industry's evolution. From simply listing coins to now supporting over 4,500 assets and maintaining a 125% reserve ratio as an industry giant, it proved in 13 years what "long-termism" really means.

Now: A New Starting Point Toward Intelligent Web3

Today, Gate's label is far more than just an "exchange". Looking at the platform's recent moves, I feel quite moved — it's becoming a "digital financial infrastructure" connecting traditional finance and the crypto world.

Especially with this year's "Gate AI Era", this old user's eyes lit up. Whether it's GateAI that can assist in strategy generation or that boldly-named GateClaw (blue lobster), they're all telling us: future trading isn't about who's braver, but who's smarter, who knows how to use tools.

Celebration: The Gift I'm Most Looking Forward To

Coming back to the hot topic of 3/18, if I had to answer those three questions, I'd say:

1️⃣ A One-Line Blessing: Happy 13th birthday, Gate! May you in the next bull market help us old friends stop being "bag holders" and instead become winners who transcend cycles.

2️⃣ The Most Unforgettable Story: Not a sudden windfall, but that 3 AM epiphany. I'm grateful this platform is solid enough that countless times when I wanted to "take a gamble", it gave me enough tools and cool-down periods to pull myself back.

3️⃣ The Activity I Most Want to Participate In: Without question, AI-related activities. I really want to see how Gate's vision of an "Intelligent Web3" world where you "compete on models, compete on strategies" will actually change our trading habits. Of course, if I could win that $1,000 position experience voucher to try out new AI strategies, that would be even more perfect.

13 years is a milestone, and more importantly, a watershed.
The tide of the industry has ebbed and flowed, and I'm glad Gate is still here, and so am I.
The future is here, let's continue at Gate and sail together toward this starry ocean.
