Scroll has become the first zk-Rollup to reach Stage 1 status.

Gate.io News bot message, Scroll co-founder Ye Zhang announced that Scroll has become the first zk-Rollup to reach Stage 1 status through the Euclid update. This update achieves three key improvements: users have sufficient exit time before system changes, arbitrary upgrades are prohibited; users have the right to submit transactions directly on Layer 1, eliminating censorship risks; when sequencers or provers go down, the network automatically opens to everyone to maintain system operation.

The L2 Rollup maturity framework divides Rollup into three stages: Stage 0 includes features such as operator control and L1 on L2 state root; Stage 1 has characteristics like smart contract management, complete proof system, and a 7-day withdrawal window; Stage 2 achieves full smart contract management, decentralized proof system, and a 30-day withdrawal window.
