BlockBeats News, January 6 — Wintermute founder and CEO Evgeny Gaevoy stated that insider trading in prediction markets should be opposed. If insider trading becomes normalized and is glamorized as a feature rather than a flaw, it would be very unfortunate. He strongly disapproves of those engaging in insider trading on Polymarket or Kalshi. The reposted message also mentioned that even if one just senses a hint of non-public information, they should resolutely refrain from trading in that market. Perhaps insider traders can escape punishment, or perhaps not, but taking such a risk is not worth it. Insider traders may end up behind bars for trading on Polymarket.
