However, the organizer Machi Production has been exposed by artists, with one shareholder surnamed Kim allegedly owing money for film production, and another shareholder, Chris Wong, having established a cryptocurrency investment website years ago and soliciting investments publicly, but in reality, it was a scam. The artist questions, would an agency really cooperate with a company that has no experience in organizing performances and has disputes among shareholders?

K-pop superstar GD lands in Malaysia, but the organizer seems a bit suspicious

Foreign media reports that Korean pop icon GD will perform at the “K-Spark In Malaysia 2026” lineup concert held at Stadium Merdeka in Malaysia on January 31. The lineup for the K-Spark concert is impressive, including GD, ITZY, HWASA, DPR IAN, DOLLA, 3P, and others.

However, artist Huang Zhiwei publicly named the concert organizer “Machi Production” in an article, calling on fans and media to stay highly alert regarding the company’s recent concert notices. Huang Zhiwei revealed in a post that two shareholders of the company are involved in film debt and virtual currency investment scams, and even disclosed that some friends around him have been victimized.

Note: To avoid misunderstandings, preliminary investigations show that the event organizer Machi Production is not related to Machi Entertainment / Machi X founded by Brother Big Brother Huang Licheng.

Artist Allegation: Machi Production Organizer Has a Cryptocurrency Scam Record

Huang Zhiwei pointed out that one of the shareholders surnamed Kim of Machi Production participated in the filming of the Chinese movie “Shocking Arena.” Although the film was released in 2025, this shareholder was accused of owing payments to staff and actors.

Huang Zhiwei stated that he has not received some of his personal residuals, promotional service fees, or even the hair and makeup expenses he paid upfront. The other party currently refuses to communicate and has gone silent.

In addition to the film debt, Huang Zhiwei further exposed controversial behavior of another shareholder, Chris Wong. According to Huang Zhiwei, this shareholder established a virtual currency investment website years ago and solicited investments publicly. After being introduced by a friend to participate, Huang Zhiwei found that he could not log into the investment account, suspecting it was a scam. During the refund process, the other party repeatedly delayed citing technical issues. Although they promised to repay in installments, after the first payment, they disappeared and refused all contact.

Huang Zhiwei questioned, “As a performer, I deeply believe that no artist or agency would cooperate with a company that has no experience in organizing performances and has disputes among shareholders!” Huang emphasized that he decided to make this public to prevent more people from being harmed. He also welcomes media to privately message for detailed information, sincerely hoping no one else will be scammed because of this.
