Gate News message, April 14 — The Ethereum Foundation, in partnership with Nethermind, Chainlink Labs, Areta.io, and several leading audit firms, has launched the Trillion Dollar Security Initiative and introduced the Ethereum Security Subsidy Program, offering up to $1 million in security audit subsidies for Ethereum developers.
Applications will be reviewed jointly by the participating organizations, with support available for CROPS (Chain Resource Optimization Projects) and new use-case projects. The program aims to reduce audit costs, improve accessibility to security services, and strengthen the overall security of the Ethereum ecosystem.
Security audits are considered an industry best practice but remain costly. This initiative is expected to encourage more projects to adopt professional audit services.
