Speaking of the fundamental difference between Web3 and Web2, one core element cannot be overlooked—the role of the community.

In many high-quality Web3 projects, such as those that have built a strong community culture, you will find an indescribable sense of cohesion among participants. Their interactions across various communication platforms, from discussions to feedback, and even jointly maintaining the ecosystem, this energy is actually the true competitive barrier of the project.

This is completely different from the traditional internet. Web2 is more about platforms delivering one-way output to users, with users being relatively passive. Web3, on the other hand, returns agency and a sense of belonging to the community—everyone is not just a consumer but more like a co-creator. It is precisely because of this sense of participation that a close-knit "tribal culture" forms. It is not created through marketing packaging but naturally emerges through actual interactions.

This is the true moat for projects that can go far.

That's right, but I think most project communities are虚的, with only a few truly凝聚力的. Reliable projects are indeed different, you can feel that kind of集体主义氛围... but often it's just hype. As for护城河, it depends on whether the team is靠谱, no matter how强 the community is, it can't救烂项目. Tribal culture sounds高级, but honestly it's just共识, but today's共识 is often just a共识 to一起割韭菜, haha. Web3 communities确实比Web2互动感强, but don't think of it as too理想, at the end of the day, it's still利益驱动.

Community is indeed key, but honestly, many projects' "tribal culture" is just a pretext for harvesting profits, and truly cohesive ones are few and far between.

The tribal culture is absolutely well explained. Compared to those purely marketing projects, you can really see the difference. A truly cohesive community doesn't need to shout every day; it lives on its own.

The term "tribal culture" is spot on; that's exactly how a true moat is built. But to be honest, most projects are still just playing the marketing game and haven't really formed genuine cohesion.

Community cohesion is indeed key, but to be honest, many projects nowadays are just using "tribal culture" as a guise to harvest profits. Yeah, that's the truth, but very few projects can truly sustain this kind of interaction; most are just hype. Moat? I think most of it is just a "leek" river moat haha. Sounds good in theory, but ultimately it depends on the actual token performance and ecosystem development. Community cohesion alone isn't enough. I agree with this view. In the early stages, consensus and enthusiasm support the project, but later on, it often changes its nature.
