Odaily Planet Daily reports that Vitalik Buterin posted on the X platform stating that Ethereum increased its Gas limit and Blob count in 2025, improved node software quality, and achieved a breakthrough in zkEVM performance milestones. Ethereum is advancing towards becoming a new and more powerful blockchain through zkEVM and PeerDAS. The challenge Ethereum faces is to realize its established goal of building a world computer as the core infrastructure for a freer and more open internet. Ethereum is developing decentralized applications that are resistant to fraud, censorship, or third-party interference, and are stable enough to operate even if developers disappear. To achieve this goal, Ethereum needs to enable large-scale usability and true decentralization at both the blockchain layer and the application layer.
