The move aims to provide millions of users in emerging markets such as Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia with a stable store of value and payment channels denominated in US dollars.
MiniPay claims to be available in 60 countries, with 12.6 million active wallets, handling 350 million transactions. Its user base grew by 50% in the fourth quarter of last year, primarily driven by emerging markets.
