According to the data from Jinshi on July 22, Trump had donated to Harris’s reelection campaign twice before serving as President of the United States. In 2011 and 2013, Trump donated a total of $6,000 to then-California Attorney General Harris’s reelection campaign, and his daughter Ivanka Trump also donated $2,000 in 2014. Sarah Longwell, a Republican consultant who opposes Trump, released a picture of a $5,000 check that Trump wrote in 2011. During his business career, Trump also supported other Democrats, and Bill and Hillary Clinton attended Trump’s wedding to Melania Trump in 2005. Now, with Biden announcing his withdrawal and supporting Harris to take over, Trump has stated that the latter is easier to defeat than Biden.
