Les attaquants ont exploité un prix wrst erroné renvoyé par l'Oracle Machine (environ 5,8 millions de dollars), en empruntant uniquement environ 0,02 wrstETH via des Prêts Flash et en les déposant, empruntant à plusieurs reprises plus de 20 wstETH, réalisant un bénéfice de 295 ETH (environ 1 million de dollars).
